Accessibility Statement
How we make this website usable for everyone, the standard we work to, and how to tell us when we fall short.
1. Our commitment
We want every visitor to be able to read this site and contact us, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings. Accessibility is treated as part of quality, not an afterthought.
2. Standard we aim for
This website is designed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We believe the site currently meets that standard substantially, and we re-check after any significant change.
3. What we have done
- Semantic HTML with a single main heading per page and a logical heading order.
- A visible “skip to main content” link and clearly visible keyboard focus styles.
- Colour combinations checked for a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio on body text.
- Descriptive alternative text on every meaningful image; decorative images marked as such.
- Form fields with permanently visible labels, not placeholder-only labelling.
- Animations disabled automatically for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
- Layouts that reflow to 320 px width and remain usable at 200% zoom.
4. Known limitations
The embedded map on our contact page is provided by a third party and its interactive controls may not be fully keyboard accessible. Our office address is always published as text next to it, and we are happy to give directions by phone.
5. Feedback and assistance
If you encounter a barrier on this site, or need information in an alternative format such as large print or plain text, contact us and we will provide it within five business days at no charge.
